Bring a bag pattern of your choosing, your sewing machine, and your bag-making supplies and spend the day making something beautiful and useful! Sara will be available to help you work through your project with practical tips and techniques. All levels welcome, beginner to advanced, however Sara recommends having all your material cut before class to maximize your workshop time.

Pieces and Wholeness

Sat, Jun 14, 2025 10:30am - 4:30pm

Two-Session Class
Sun, Sep 14, 2025 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Sun, Oct 12, 2025 1:30pm - 4:30pm

Description
One-Session Class

Join us for a class that will be equal parts creative and introspective and improvisational. We will spend the morning exploring the technique and producing several pieces of created fabric (and maybe a bit of insight).

We’ll take a break for lunch (bring your own or step out to one of the nearby restaurants. The studio will stay open for those that haven’t had enough fun!)

In the afternoon we will design how those created pieces might fit into a whole or not. While you may not leave with a finished product, I’m hopeful that you will have a glimpse of wholeness.

Class Fee: $45.00 Instructor: Rebecca Hix

Two-Session Class

We are all merely pieces. Join us for a class that will be equal parts creative and introspective and improvisational. We will spend the first class exploring the technique (whether you call it crazy, scrap or crumb quilting) and producing several pieces of created fabric (and maybe a bit of insight). p> You can go home and practice what you have learned between sessions. We will come back in the second class and design how those created pieces of fabric might fit into a whole -- or not.

Class Fee: $50.00 Instructor: Rebecca Hix
