This Web page is a central-place for information regarding BOM projects at our store.
Our stores (Raliegh and Wilmington), as well as our online store offer a variety of fabric kits. Some of the kits fit well as BlockOfTheMonth (BOM) projects. The BOM kits often aim at becoming large sized pieces (King/Queen quilts, etc.), some have smaller-sized-piece objectives and are appropriate for wall hanging or "snuggle" quilts.
The BOM projects featured on this Web page are selected BOMs that our staff supported, in 2024, directly by offering in-store/studio monthly-or-so meetings led by a store staff member. The meetings were aimed at sharing information, experiences while addressing questions that arise as the participant - and, the store staff member -- forge ahead using the BOM kit. The in-store/studio meetings were for participants who purchased the meeting's particular BOM kit at our store(s) and participants in the monthly-or-so meetings had to be registered prior to the in-store/studio meeting; drop-in participants will not be accepted. Some of the in-store/studio BOM meetings were no-sewing sessions.
The BOM kit normally included the pattern and fabric (including the binding fabric) for completing the quilt top. The BOM back-fabric was normally not part of the kit. Fabric for the BOM back and accessories that may have come in place for the participant as the BOM moved along often was offered in-store at a discount; see the particular BOM's project description for specifics. Some BOM patterns offered online videos that were created by the pattern creator.
The in-store/studio monthly-or-so meetings, in some case, were offered supplement material to that what was in the BOM kit, assisting the BOM Participant as he/she moved forward to having a successful BOM completed piece!
