Description Calling all machine embroiderers! Do you love machine embroidery but find the design downloading process to be confusing? Would you embroider more if you felt more comfortable with the downloading and file organization process? Then you might want to sign up for this special 2-hour class with Jacqie and Amy. In this class you will learn to: - Download embroidery files - file format, size - Transfer files to a USB stick - Tips on orgaizing embroidery files on your laptop computer, including: - How to create file folders to use to store your embroidery designs - How to rename embroidery files to something more recognizable - How to copy embroidery files from one folder to another - Tips on where to find well-digitized designs to download - get a llist of where Jacquie and Amy buy their best embroidery designs. - Evaluating embroidery designs: Why you may want to think twice about downloading designs from vendors on Etsy or other less well-known embroidery design sellers. No need to bring your embroidery machine - just bring your laptop, a 16 GB or less empty USB stick, and a notebook and pen and we will take care of the rest. JuJu Christmas Tree Skirt Class Part 1 Sun, Jan 19, 2025 10:30am - 4:30pm

Description Calling all machine embroiderers! Have you looked at the JuJu Christmas tree skirts and thought someday...? Well, 2025 could be the year for you to take the plunge and make this family keepsake tree skirt. Join Amy and Jacquie in the Bernina Studio to get started on your tree skirt. At the January meeting, we will walk through making one of each size block - outer, middle, and inner. You will leave with the skills to work on more blocks at home, and we will regroup for check-in and work sessions in April, July, and October. Designs by JuJu (designsbyjuju.com) offers six machine embroidery Christmas tree skirts. Each tree skirt has a theme, and the tree skirts come in various sizes, depending on your embroidery hoop size. Each tree skirt consists of 15 "wedges" and each wedge is made up of three embroidered blocks. This is a big, but very doable project. As they say...How do you eat an elephant? ONE BITE AT A TIME!! The tree skirt classes will consist of four, full day, pay-as-you-go sessions. There is preparation work that needs to be done prior to the first class in January - downloading the designs to a USB stick, printing the detailed instructions for the tree skirt you have chosen, preparing your fabric for the first few blocks, choosing thread colors, and so on. Description Ever wanted to learn how to use your embroidery machine? Introducing our Beginning Embroidery Mastery, where Stephanie will teach you how to use your embroidery machine so you can go from novice to intermediate embroider extraordinaire! The first class included a series of exercises intended to familiarize you with the features of your embroidery machine. In addition, you will learn about needles, threads, stabilizers, embroidery hoops and accessories, all of which will increase your knowledge of sewing and assist you in achieving success in all of your embroidery endeavors. NOTE: Students need to bring their own sewing machines in good working order. Description Would you like to sit and create with your embroidery friends. Come join us for a day of embroidery and conversation with your fellow embroiderers. Exchange ideas, ask questions or just sit and sew. It will be fun and relaxing. Work on your own projects start a new one.
