This Web page was aimed at being a central repository of information for our Fall 2014 Gathering Inspired by the book: Tradition With A Twist By Blanche Young & Dalene Young Stone, Copyright © 1996 Published by C&T Publishing. The information in this page is intended especially for those of you who participated in the Gathering.

For participating in the Gathering, the following was in-place:

  • The Gathering participants purchased, from our store, the book and fabric used during the Gatherings.

  • Gathering participants should have experience in sewing and in making quilts.

  • Gathering participants, surely, interact. However, the Gathering is not a class . Each participant is expected to be able to manage his/her own project.

  • The store will not be able to arrange and set-up class machines for use during the Gatherings. Gathering participants should bring to the Gathering what they need for sewing/cutting during the Gathering.

  • Due to the numerous options / aims / of each Gathering participant, space at the Gathering is limited.
    Gathering Participants must be pre-signed up. "Drop in" participants, due to classroom class size and machine space limitations will not be accommodated. Sorry!

  • If a Gathering participant decides to "drop out" of the 2014 Gatherings, it would be appreciated if that were known by the store; there may a wait-list and, if a Gathering slot opens - Persons on the wait-list will be notified of such.

This Gathering has now been completed.

Thank you for your participation - and, we look forward to seeing more if your beautiful work in other Gatherings - or, as you stop by the store to keep in touch. It is always a pleasure to see you and to work with you!

I was very happy with the finalized piece I made during this Fall 2014 Gathering. I still have some hand-sewing for the binding (very peaceful!), however - that is a pleasure for me do. The project/Gathering has been fun and I look forward to seeing you at the final Blooming Nine Patch Gathering of Fall, 2014: Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 starting at 10:00am and continuing until around 4:15pm. Plans for this time-schedule may change - depending upon your feedback and if we have an extended lunch! Stay tuned - and, your comments are welcome.

In the meantime, certainly, I look forward to seeing you at the store and, perhaps, reading about your progress on our Gathering Weblog.

Thank you for your participation in our second meeting of this planned four-month Gathering.

The competition is on! I will be trying hard to see if I will be third with a completed quilt top. We see.... Seriously - So far, it has been fun and I look forward to seeing you at the third Blooming Nine Patch Gathering of Fall, 2014: Tuesday, December 16, 2014 starting at 10:00am and continuing until around 4:15pm.

Thank you for your participation in our second meeting of this planned four-month Gathering.

We have an excellent start! It was fun to see how everyone was working such excitement and enthusiasm.

Some of us have had more "start-up" time prior to the first meeting than others - but, that (where we are now) is not important; it will be fun to see how the pieces evolve.
