This Web page is aimed at being a central repository of information for our 2017 Gatherings. The first project that will be part of the 2017 Gatherings is based upon creating a Two-Color quilt using patterns inspired by the book: "modern neutrals, A fresh look at Neutral Quilt Patterns" By Amy Ellis.
The 2017 Gatherings are taking place monthly, and started in January 2017, and continuing:
- Evening Gathering: The second Monday of each month, 5:00-9:00pm.
The next 2018! Evening Gathering is January 8, 2018
- Daytime Gathering: The third Tuesday of each month, 10:00am-4:00pm.
The next 2018! Daytime Gathering is January 16, 2018
For participating in the Gathering, you are reminded that:
- The Gathering participants purchased, from our store, the book chosen to be part of this Gathering and the fabric needed for this quilt..
- For the 2017 Gatherings, a yearly fee of $50 is charged when the attendee commits to the first Gathering he/she attends.
- Gathering participants should have experience in sewing and in making quilts.
- Gathering participants, surely, interact. However, the Gathering is not a class . Each participant is expected to be able to manage his/her own project.
- The store will not be able to arrange and set-up class machines for use during the Gatherings. Gathering participants should bring to the Gathering what they need for sewing/cutting during the Gathering.
- Due to the numerous options / aims / of each Gathering participant, space at the Gathering is limited.
Gathering Participants must be pre-signed up. "Drop in" participants, due to classroom class size and machine space limitations will not be accommodated. Sorry!
- If a Gathering participant decides to "drop out" of the 2017 Gatherings, it would be appreciated if that were known by the store; there may a wait-list and, if a Gathering slot opens - Persons on the wait-list will be notified of such.

The 2017 Gatherings are expected to be over-subscribed. If you wish more information about participating in either the monthly Daytime (third Tuesday) or Evening (second Monday) 2017 Gatherings, stop by the store or:

Wow. What a great thrill to see everyone's efforts and success. Very special. All of our work this year is "Paying Off" with some beautiful pieces. Hopefully, it is inspiring us all to forge ahead with 2018 projects.

Mid-Summer and Completed Pieces are coming forward!
We had a chance for a Summer Break and did some "extra credit" work, including working with silk in the 2" blocks during the Daytime Gathering. Fun.

A busy month (hopefully) is past so that we have more designing/"sewing" time as April comes about. Different levels of progress resulting from different-amount-of allocated time for sewing -- and: Winter vacations -- all added up to different stages of progress in February/March. Ok!
It was fun to see how things are evolving and I look forward to working on my "placid curves" as March ends - and: Seeing your pieces/progress.

What hard-working groups! It was a pleasure to be working alongside you. Your "homework" really paid off. A LOT of progress in this first full month.
We missed a few of you -- Winter vacations, etc. -- and we look forward to seeing your until-March-meeting's "homework". It continues to be impressive/encouraging to see everyone's work/progress.

I was amazed that everyone was "Ready to Go" at this first Gathering and you-all "jumped into" things / sewing right from the start. Wow.
Some of us saw other's pieces already started or as the day went on: And, of course.... we changed our minds a bit after seeing such. Ok -- Isn't that (interacting) one of the reasons for the Gatherings?
I am very excited and encouraged by everyone's efforts and, already, beautiful work.
I look forward to seeing which quilts the Evening Gatherers start with -- and, perhaps: The friendly "competition" between the Daytime and Evening groups is "on"?
I look forward to working beside you each month. It is a joy.
