Art of the Quilt 2022:

This Web page is aimed at being a central repository of information for our 2022 Evening Gathering. The Gathering in 2022 is being held monthly throughout the year. The Evening Gathering's projects are using patterns from the calendar: the ART of the QUILT 2022 By Weeks Ringle & Bill Kerr of Modern Quilt Studio. There will be a $50 fee for the year

The 2022 Gathering will take place monthly and will be held at the Raleigh store's BERNINA Studio:

• The second Monday of the month, 5:00pm - 8:30pm.
  Contact us via the Gathering eMail for information about upcoming Evening Gathering dates/information.

For participating in the Gathering, you are reminded that:

• The Gathering participants purchase, from our store, books or other patterns chosen to be part of the Gatherings and the fabric needed for quilts created during the Gatherings..

• The Gathering participant, by joining the Gathering, is making a commitment to make a solid effort at completing the Gathering project for that five-month period.

• For the 2022 Evening Gatherings, the Yearly fee is $50. The fee is non-refundable once charged.

• Gathering participants should have experience in sewing and in making quilts.

• Gathering participants, surely, interact. However, the Gathering is not a class, although Sonja will be available to assist during the five-month Gathering session.

• The store will not be able to arrange and set-up class machines for use during the Gatherings. Gathering participants should bring to the Gathering what they need for sewing/cutting during the Gathering.

• Due to the numerous options / aims / of each Gathering participant, space at the Gathering is limited.
  Gathering Participants must be pre-signed up. "Drop in" participants will not be accommodated. Sorry!

Evening Gathering - January 2022

Our first Evening Gathering of 2022 was held on Monday at the new Bernina Education Center.  We had a great turnout and everyone commented on the spaciousness and the great lighting of the new space. 

We listened to the Classic Rock station on Pandora, and Joan happened to have her dancing shoes on and broke out into a dance to the BeeGee's. 

A couple of members brought their Feathered Friends quilts to show, and everyone got a good start on their modern quilts from their "Art of the Quilt" calendar. 

Our February meeting was scheduled for Feb 14 (Valentine's Day)  so we decided to delay one week in case any of us happen to be invited out to dinner.
